Kuro Genshu (原種黒 Genshu Kuro; Lit. Black Pure Breed) is the current ruler of the Tenshi populace; descending from a family of pure-bred Tenshi of the most powerful kind, he would be subservient to the previous emperor, Myōjō Shūen. However, after the man's coercion to the other side, Kuro was forced to oblige by killing hundreds of his own race, nearly leading them to extinction. Eventually, he would be confronted by Tenshi-hybrid Misaka Tennyo, who soon broke through Kuro's mental barriers and prevented him from achieving "Fallen Angel" status, whilst killing the former emperor. As of now, he stands renown as Emperor of Solemn Red Eyes (厳然朱目の皇帝 Genzenhime no Kōtei) due to his piercing red eyes and repenting nature, and is the spouse of Misaka Tennyo.
